MaumCalc Terms of Service

Effective Date: July 1, 2025

These terms specify the conditions of use for the online calculator service provided by MaumCalc (hereinafter "Company") and define the rights and obligations between users and the company.

Article 1 (Purpose)

The purpose of these terms is to define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of the company and users, as well as other necessary matters regarding the use of the website and related services (hereinafter "Services") operated by MaumCalc (hereinafter "Company").

Article 2 (Definitions)

  1. "Service" means all online calculators, simulators, analysis tools, and related additional services provided by MaumCalc.
  2. "User" means members and non-members who receive services provided by the company under these terms.
  3. "Member" means a person who has registered as a member by providing personal information to the company and can continuously use the service.
  4. "Non-member" means a person who uses the service provided by the company without membership registration.

Article 3 (Disclosure, Effectiveness, and Changes to Terms)

① These terms become effective by being posted on the MaumCalc website or notified to users by other means.

② The company may revise these terms within the scope that does not violate relevant laws such as the "Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions" and the "Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc."

③ When the company revises the terms, it will announce the effective date and reasons for revision along with the current terms on the initial screen of the MaumCalc website from 7 days before the effective date until the day before the effective date.

Article 4 (Service Provision)

① The company provides the following services:

  • Various life calculators (BMI, BMR, loan, investment return, etc.)
  • Financial calculation tools (compound interest calculation, tax calculation, pension calculation, etc.)
  • Life convenience calculators (age calculation, unit conversion, discount rate comparison, etc.)
  • AI-based personalized analysis services
  • Personalized calculation result storage and history management (member service)
  • Other services additionally developed by the company

② The company may change the content of services to improve service quality, and in such cases, it will notify in advance by specifying the changed service content and provision date.

Article 5 (Service Interruption)

① The company may temporarily suspend service provision in the following cases:

  • Maintenance, replacement, and failure of information and communication facilities, communication interruption
  • Power outage, service facility failure, or service usage congestion
  • Force majeure circumstances such as national emergency or natural disasters
  • Other cases where normal service provision is impossible

② When the service is suspended due to the reasons in paragraph 1, the company will notify or announce this without delay.

Article 6 (Membership Registration)

① Users apply for membership registration by filling in member information according to the registration form set by the company and expressing their intention to agree to these terms.

② The company registers as members those users who applied for membership as in paragraph 1, except in the following cases:

  • When the applicant has previously lost membership qualifications (except when 3 years have passed since the loss of membership and the company's approval for re-registration is obtained)
  • When there are falsehoods, omissions, or errors in the registration content
  • When the application is made for the purpose of harming social peace and order or public morals
  • When it is determined that registering as a member would cause significant technical difficulties

Article 7 (User Obligations)

① Users must not engage in the following acts:

  • Registering false information during application or changes
  • Stealing others' information
  • Altering information posted by the company
  • Transmitting or posting information other than that specified by the company (such as computer programs)
  • Infringing on the copyright and other intellectual property rights of the company or third parties
  • Acts that damage the reputation of the company or third parties or interfere with their business
  • Publishing or posting obscene or violent messages, images, voices, or other information contrary to public order and morals on the service
  • Using the service for commercial purposes

Article 8 (Service Usage Fees)

① The basic services provided by the company are free.

② Some premium features or advanced analysis services may incur separate charges, in which case the fee policy will be announced in advance.

③ Payment conditions, refund policies, etc., for paid services are subject to separate terms.

Article 9 (Personal Information Protection)

① The company strives to protect users' personal information in accordance with relevant laws.

② The protection and use of personal information are subject to relevant laws and the company's privacy policy.

③ The company does not disclose or distribute users' personal information to third parties without their consent. However, exceptions apply when requested by relevant agencies under applicable laws.

Article 10 (Company Obligations)

① The company does not engage in acts prohibited by laws and these terms or contrary to public order and morals, and strives to provide services continuously and stably.

② The company establishes a security system for personal information protection so that users can use the service safely.

③ When opinions or complaints raised by users regarding service use are objectively recognized as legitimate, the company promptly processes them through appropriate procedures.

Article 11 (Accuracy of Calculation Results)

① The company strives for accuracy in the calculators provided, but calculation results should be used for reference only.

② For important financial decisions or medical-related decisions, please consult with professionals.

③ The company is not responsible for damages caused by errors in calculation results.

Article 12 (Disclaimer)

① The company is exempt from responsibility for service provision when unable to provide services due to natural disasters or equivalent force majeure.

② The company is not responsible for the reliability, accuracy, etc., of information, data, and facts displayed on the service.

③ The company is not responsible when users conduct transactions with each other or with third parties through the service.

④ The company is not responsible for the use of free services unless specifically stipulated by relevant laws.

Article 13 (Dispute Resolution)

① The company establishes and operates a damage compensation processing organization to reflect legitimate opinions or complaints raised by users and to compensate for damages.

② Disputes arising between the company and users in relation to these terms shall be under the jurisdiction of Korean courts and Korean law shall apply.

These terms are effective from July 1, 2025.
